Maggie Kathwaroon, from Women’s and Gender Studies, has asked volunteers to create a poster for International Women’s Week. We are free to design however we want it and our theme is Disruptions: Remimagining media, gender and representation. I thought back on my own origin for inspiration, using hair as a respresentation of one’s lifelong experiences and a cracked featureless face for disruption. Using low contrast colours with a striking high contrast colour for the title and theme.
